Mercer County Community College enrolls many students from other colleges and universities during MCCC's SUMMER and WINTER SESSIONS. While you're home, why not enroll in an affordable MCCC course to make up missed coursework, improve a grade, speed the completion of your degree, pursue an additional interest -- or meet people like yourself from schools far and near!
Most SUMMER SESSION classes, 6 weeks in duration, typically begin the third week in May and the first week in July. A limited selection of accelerated WINTER SESSION classes begin late December (running 6 weeks through MercerOnline) and early January (2 weeks on-campus). After completing your course at MCCC, request an official transcript to be sent back to your college from MCCC.
Federal regulations prohibit students from receiving financial aid awards from two institutions at the same time; additionally, one requirement for financial aid eligibility is enrollment in a credit-bearing program at MCCC.
For these reasons, visiting students are not eligible to receive financial aid from MCCC. However, students taking courses that have been pre-approved for transfer eligibility by their home institution may be eligible to receive financial aid from their home institution. Financial aid disbursed in this manner requires a consortium agreement to be completed by both MCCC and the student's home institution.
Students wishing to request financial aid under this type of agreement should first contact the financial aid office at their home institution. Once a student has obtained a completed consortium agreement from their home institution, it should be emailed to MCCC's financial aid office at finaid@mccc.edu.
