Mercer women's basketball (7-11) lost in heartbreaking fashion to visiting Union 43-44.  The Vikings held a 17 point lead at the half but only managed to score 10 points in the second half. Union hit a late 3-point field goal to give them the 44-43 lead and the Vikings were unable to score on the final possession of the game.  With the loss, Mercer falls to 7-11 on the season. Freshman Brandi Grimes (Lawrence Twp., NJ/Lawrence) led the Vikings with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.  Sophomore Heather Gurdon (Perrineville, NJ/Allentown) had 8 points and sophomores Morgan Cullen (Bristol, PA/Bristol) and Jackie Laurenti (Chesterfield, NJ/Northern Burlington) each had 7 points in the loss.
