Mercer men's soccer (19-3-1) capped off the weekend with a 1-0 win over Monroe (Bronx) in the championship game to capture the Northeast District title.  Freshman Oshana Boothe (Kingston, Jamaica/St. George's College) scored the lone goal of the game with 11 minutes remaining in the second half.  Sophomore goalkeeper Erick Guimaraes Cavalcante (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Escola Estradual Lemma BJA) posted his second shutout of the weekend.  The Vikings will next compete in the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer National Championship hosted by Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona.  Play begins Monday, November 13th and runs until Saturday, November 18th.
