Mercer men's basketball advanced to the Region 19 Championship with their 15th straight win, beating Lackawanna 65-59 in the Semifinals played at the County College of Morris.  The Vikings trailed by 3 points at halftime, but were able to outscore Lackawanna in the second half 39-30, to hold on for the win.  Sophomore David Johnson (Philadelphia, PA/Communications Tech) led the Vikings with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.  Sophomore Tyliek Kimbrough (Brooklyn, NY/Boys and Girls) added 17 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists and freshman Daquan Hargrove (Trenton, NJ/Daylight/Twilight) had a double double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.  Sophomore Petar Milivojevic (Belgrade, Serbia/Crenshaw Christian) added 9 points off the bench and freshman Kenyatta Long (Philadelphia, PA/Bishop McDevitt) had 5 rebounds and 3 steals.  The Vikings will face Essex in the Region 19 Championship on Saturday, Febraury 28th at 1:30 PM at the County College of Morris.
