Mercer baseball moved to 2-1 on the season following a 13-8 win over John Wood, IL in Myrtle Beach.  Sophomore James Rice (Middlesex, NJ/Immaculata) went 4 for 5 with a double and 4 RBIs and sophomore Eddie Ashley (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs.  Sophomore Joe Santospago (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) had 2 hits and 2 RBIs and freshmen Robert Boselli (Ventnor City, NJ/Holy Spirit) and sophomore Nick Kagel (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence) each added 2 hits and an RBI in the win.  Sophomore pitcher Brandon Garret (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury East) got his first win at Mercer and had 5 strikeouts in 4 innings and sophomore Shane Monahan (Levittown, PA/Truman) had an RBI in the win.
