Mercer baseball (45-12) beat CCBC-Catonsville 8-5 to capture the Northeast District Championship and earn a trip to the NJCAA Division II World Series in Enid, Oklahoma.  Northeast District Tournament MVP sophomore Jordan Gonzalez (Manalapan, NJ/Colts Neck) had a home run and RBI and freshman Osvaldo Millet (Miami, FL/TERRA Environmental) went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBIs. Sophomores Sid Kumar (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor North) and Erik Bowren (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) each had a two hits including a double and RBI and freshman Moses Vigo (Ewing, NJ/The Pennington School) went 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Sophomore pitcher Andrew DiPiazza (Bayville, NJ/Central Regional) struck out 6 in 9 innings in his 7th win of the season.
