2009-10
Season Preview: MCCC Men's Basketball
The optimism centers around shooters like Uros Kovacevic, a 6-foot-4 sophomore from Montenegro who can play just about any position, though he should start at small forward. "He really knows how to play. He can shoot," Levy says. "He understands how to run our offense." Levy also believes the addition of 5-11 freshman shooting guard Quincy Hendryx (Hamilton, N.J.), 5-8 sophomore guard Marcus Jimenez (Vineland, NJ) and 6-4 sophomore forward Aaron Smitherman (Burlington, N.J.) will help improve the Vikings' outside shooting. Point guard Derek Williams (Willingboro, N.J.), a 5-10 sophomore, returns to run the offense and should team with Hendryx as the backcourt starters. Up front, MCCC has 6-4 big man Paco Boussougou (Gabon) at center and 6-5 freshman Isiah Andrews (Florence, N.J.) at power forward. The potential midseason addition of 6-6 transfer Javis Williams (Willingboro, N.J.) would boost the team's talent significantly. The backcourt also has 5-10 sophomore Quentin Loftin (Florence, N.J.), a key defender; 5-11 freshman Kelvin Nance (Philadelphia, PA); 5-10 freshman Anthony Obery (Roselle, N.J.); and Julien Rosaly (Middle River, Md.). Gary Carthan (Bordentown, N.J.) is a 6-2 freshman forward. Directions to West Windsor Campusrections to MCCC
